Richmond County Sheriff’s Office

Today the Sheriff’s Office is hosting a free event at the Augusta Commons and providing all comers with burgers and shakes. I realize that this event isn’t the overly costly, but does it strike anybody as poor timing to have this unnecessary expenditure 2 days after asking the commission for more money?
